Vitalant Blood Services will be conducting several blood drives during May and four will be heald in the Bullhead City area.
Vitalant is offering all first-time donors an initial blood type screening test. Preliminary results are available in minutes at every donation center.
Vitalant also is testing all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies in order to produce plasma that could help COVID-19 patients who have weakened immune systems.
All healthy donors are urged to donate, mo matter their COVI-19 Vaccination status. Those who have had COVID-19 and have been syspton free for 10 days are eligible to donate.
Blood Donation Locations
Bullhead Health Club will host a drive from 1-5 p.m. May 20 at 2350 Miracle Mile, Suite 370, inside the Riverview Mall Aerobics Room.

The Knights of Columbus Council 8100 will host a drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 22 at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church's Parish Hall, 1691 Oatman Road.

The Bullhead City Elks Lodge will host a drive from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 24 at 1745 Emerald Road.

On May 25, a drive will be held from 7-11 a.m. at the Colorado River Women’s Council, 2580 Landon Drive, Suite D.

Two drives are scheduled in Laughlin this month.
The first is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 at American Legion Laughlin Post 60, 1510 Bruce Woodbury Drive.

The Laughlin Library is hosting a drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 18th. at the Laughlin Library.

Even if there is no immediate need for blood, the 42-day shelf life of donated blood helps by keeping the supply stocked in case of an emergency.
People who are unable to donate can still support blood drives by volunteering or hosting an event.
The local Vitalant region covers southern Nevada and northwest Arizona, and includes Laughlin, Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City.
Masks are no longer required for COVID-19 vaccinated donors and staff.
